Our Orthodontic Services

Clear aligners

Over the last two decades, clear aligners have become an extremely popular way to straighten teeth without braces. Instead of brackets and wires, clear aligners use thin, plastic “trays” that fit perfectly over your teeth, gently moving them toward the proper position over time. Clear aligners are nearly invisible when worn, are removable for eating and oral hygiene, and offer amazing results for most patients.

Metal braces

Traditional metal braces are often the best choice for patients with complex needs. They are extremely versatile and can be used alongside other orthodontic appliances and surgeries to deliver a straight smile, a healthy bite, and a lifetime of happy smiles.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are identical to metal braces in most ways. The major difference is that they use clear or tooth-colored brackets and wires, which helps reduce the visibility of the braces on your teeth. This makes them a great option if you need braces but would prefer a more subtle appearance.

Lingual braces

Sometimes called “hidden braces,” these braces are attached to the back (lingual) surfaces of your teeth instead of the front. This means that your braces will be nearly invisible when you’re smiling, speaking, and eating normally. They're a little more complicated than metal or ceramic braces but may be a great option for some patients.

The Benefits of a Straighter Smile

Get a confidence boost

A crooked, crowded, or uneven smile can make you feel self-conscious around others. You may avoid smiling in photos, laughing around acquaintances, or even eating around coworkers. But with orthodontic treatment from Edwards Family Dental, you can feel confident and let your best self shine through.

Improved functionality

Serious bite and tooth alignment issues can compromise your ability to speak clearly and eat your favorite foods. With orthodontics, you’ll be able to restore the proper function of your teeth.

Prevent premature damage

When your teeth don’t fit together properly, the force of biting and chewing can be concentrated on just a few teeth. Over time, this can cause premature wear and tear, or even cracks and chips in your teeth. With orthodontics, you can prevent damage and keep your teeth healthy.

Better overall oral health

If your teeth are crooked, it can be harder to remove food particles, bacteria, and acid from between your teeth and gums. This leads to a higher risk of gum disease and tooth decay. After orthodontic treatment, though, you’ll be able to brush and floss with ease.
